Curriculum Vitae

Anna A. Tsoumani was born and raised in Ioannina, where she graduated from Zosimaia School of Ioannina. She studied at the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (2006) and continued with postgraduate studies in the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program "Design and Construction of Underground Works" at the same university (2008).

She subsequently collaborated with IBI Group Hellas (Transport & Traffic Engineering Consultants) providing services for transport studies.

In 2009, she began working as a freelance professional in the greater Epirus region, based in Ioannina, focusing on the study and construction of building projects. At the same time, she conducted research at the Department of Materials Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Ioannina, on recycled concrete, which led to the awarding of a PhD (2017).

Since 2019, she has continued her research activity at the University of Ioannina as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. She has worked on both private and public projects in collaboration with and on behalf of engineering firms. As a Certified Property Valuer, she collaborates with financial institutions and real estate management companies. Since February 2024, she has been teaching at the Department of Architecture at the University of Ioannina.

She is a Energy Inspector (Class C), a Public Works Contractor, a Recognised European Valuer (REV), and a Certified Passive House Designer. She is also a Certified Adult Educator and teaches at Vocational Training Centers and Centers for Lifelong Learning. She speaks four languages, serves as a reviewer for international scientific journals, and has numerous publications in scientific conferences. She regularly participates in training programs and seminars. She is a member of the Permanent Committee on Urban Planning, Spatial Planning, and the Built Environment of the Technical Chamber of Greece – Epirus Department and a Representative of the TEE – Epirus Department at the Council of Charitable Estates of the Decentralized Administration of Epirus – Western Macedonia (alternate member).
